The Durandal performs well and feels comfortable to type on even after typing on a Microsoft Natural keyboard for the past 10 years. I personally took off the hand/wrist rest but I did try with it on and it is comfortable as long as you sit at a desk and type. Overall a VERY nice mechanical keyboard that you can pick up for around 140$-160$ at this point, since it is a new company availability is not the best at this point.

Tesoro G1NL is no doubt a top pick in our books. It¡¦s got tons of features and Tesoro again did a fantastic job on implementation as well. It's practically identical in features and functionality to the Max Keyboard Nighthawk series which is a keyboard we've previously established as an excellent keyboard. Except, the Durandal G1NL is currently $15 cheaper than the Nighthawk X8 and $20 cheaper than the Nighthawk X9, making it an even better buy. Highly recommended!

We would recommend this model with the MX Brown or MX Blue switches, as these come as tactile switches against many users. Matter of taste after all, just like the design. We find that this keyboard deserves a chance, because in comparison with the MK series of QPad it has become despite the same technique no mere clone, but a very unique design.

Tesoros flagship Durandal series falls good for us to taste. The model offers very much on what we liked about Qpads MK-85. It is a well-built frame, a carefully macro function and easily accessible connections directly on the keyboard. In addition, the model can be obtained with different switches from Cherry which is a real plus in our book. The only really downside we find in G1NL is supplied wrist which unfortunately is a bit small.

The Durandal-keyboards are a successful game-opener from Tesoro. Launching two models makes sense as well, because not everyone is willing to pay premium for the back light and the extra connectivity. The Durandal is a good, solid keyboard, but unfortunately lacks the wrist rest. The Ultimate, on the other hand, is clearly a top of the line product, there just isn't much to add. Just choose the switch type of your liking and you'll have a great keyboard for years to come.

Tesoro is coming to market as a high quality keyboard manufacturer, and from the styling and build quality, we'd say the Durandal G1N fits the image. The outer chassis is rock-solid, and the industrial appearance of the brushed aluminum and plated steel coupled with simple edgy contours creates a modern look. The backlighting on the keys are dimmable to 3 levels or may be turned off, and are diffused well and look great. Tesoro has chosen to use high quality Cherry MX switches, which are highly regarded in the gaming community, and considered by many to be the best available. The cable has high quality sleeving and is very durable, terminating in gold-plated connectors. Options like "gaming mode," which disables the windows key function, appeal to a standard gamers have grown accustomed to.
